HP ProCurve has improved their portfolio of wireless products with the recent acquisition Colubris and so now offers multi-service controllers (MSM710, MSM730 or MSM750) with an integrated hotspot service for guests, with the performance delivered utilising intelligent Access Points (APs). Two styles of controller are available, with the enhanced solution optimised for roaming, although this functionality may be added to the standard controller with a software licence. The controller is selected depending on the preferred capacity for APs and guests and multiple controllers may be cascaded for future expansion.

The existing impressive range now includes an easy to manage dual radio (2.4 and 5 GHz) AP for the smaller networks, to managed intelligent units (some with 802.11n functionality) and controller based systems using either thin APs or the (previously known as Colubris) intelligent solution.

The product portfolio is designed to cater for all requirements and when teamed up with HP ProCurve switches and software applications (such as the Identity Driven Manager – IDM), offers an unbeatable solution.
