Network Cabling : Cheshire, Lancashire, Wigan, Warrington, Manchester, and Liverpool.
Solutions are delivered using copper products that comply with CAT5e, CAT6 and augmented CAT6 (AC6 or CAT6a) to provide the optimum longevity and performance, with an LSOH outer sheath to comply with building regulations. Cables are terminated onto 1U 24-port patch panels, with provision for cable management to allow the neat routing of patch leads within the cabinet.
The sockets are uniquely labelled to an agreed scheme that incorporates a cabinet reference and are then tested with a Fluke certification tester with the results retained for all projects (copy available on request).
Fibre optic products are selected for the environment and application, with the most suitable multi-mode (OM1, OM2 or OM3) or single mode (OS1) cable selected depending on network technology, existing cable specification (for extensions) and routes/environments.
Direct terminations are performed using SC, ST or LC connectors and the cores are tested in both directions with an Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) that confirms the quality of the installation process and estimates the link loss. Dual wavelength tests and power meter tests are available and can be incorporated into the project procedures.
