The Audio Visual (AV) solutions include multi-media interactive whiteboards (Smartboard and Promethean), projectors (NEC) and the delivery of video and audio presentations around a school onto plasma or LCD screens as part of a Digital Signage solution.

Cable and component selection is important as inferior products will reduce the image and audio quality. Advice is offered for the optimum products that will deliver a suitable service including security products for the fixed projectors. There are many new products produced including interactive boards with integrated projectors and “short throw” projectors that are fixed above the boards as this reduces installation costs and improves the effectiveness of the solution.

To deliver the images across a site, various options are available. Video signals may be transmitted over CAT5e cabling (although some converters require shielded cable) from distributed networked amplifiers, with other systems that deliver the content/presentation to devices that are attached to the screens.
